  17. August 1, 1994 Seattle, WA -- Abstract Software announces the official
  18. release of WSI-Fonts Professional Volume #2 - Decorative Collection
  19. for NEXTSTEP.  Abstract Software's second shipping font collection
  20. contains 110 of the most popular and unique decorative and is
  21. available now for both Motorola and Intel hardware. (HPPA support is
  22. slated for Q4 1994)

  24. ``Our first font collection was primarily aimed at desktop publishers
  25. who wanted to inexpensively round off their typeface library with a
  26. large number of popular text-setting typefaces.  By contrast, our
  27. second collection contains many faces for titling and scripts, plus
  28. special-purpose fonts for giving a document a certain `flair', be it
  29. antique, childlike, digital, or nostalgic.  We also include
  30. high-quality clones based on such popular fonts as CopperPlate, Arnold
  31. Bocklin, FreeStyle Script, and Lithos, to name just a few,'' said Sean

  34. As in our first collection, most fonts include the complete
  35. International Character Sets you need to work in English, French,
  36. Spanish, German, Swedish, Dutch, Italian, and Portuguese.  All fonts
  37. are fully-scaleable Type 1 fonts and look great both on screen and on
  38. paper.  Included with the collection is a font installation
  39. application which offers easy-to-use point and click font
  40. installation.  Once the fonts are installed they are usable with
  41. virtually every NEXTSTEP application.  Included with the collection is
  42. a 68-page manual, similar to the manual for WSI-Fonts Professional
  43. Volume #1 (which NeXTWORLD magazine deemed `Exceptional.') which gives
  44. font samples, plus descriptions of the typeface's history, potential
  45. uses, and installation instructions.
